23 SDS members resigned from membership

Bijeljina, 20 August, 1997 (AIM) - Twenty-three members of Municipal Board SDS Bijeljina resigned today from membership in SDS party. Between them are seven Directors of public institutions and firms and Mr. Mico Petrovic, Vice President Municipal Council Bijeljina.

"Facing the problems of realization of Decisions of Main Board SDS, which are in opposition to the interest of Serb people and SDS Program and Statute, we resign on our membership in SDS party", stays in short statement signed by all 23 persons.

Such move was expected, because two days ago Mr. Svetozar Mihajlovic, President Municipal Government resigned too.(End)
