Reform in RS Police

Pale, 12 August, 1997 (AIM) - Gen. Milenko Karisik, Deputy Minister of Interior RS and Gen. Goran Simic, Commander of Antiterrorist Police Brigade RS, denied yesterday SFOR's information that Specialist Police Forces are in Police Stations in Teslic, Nevesinje, Srbinje, Bileca, Trebinje and Celjigovici near Pale. At Pale meeting they offered to Gen. Andrew Fidgers, SFOR, to visit mentioned locations together and to establish a real fact. Gen. Karisik stated that recent controls showed that RS Police has normal weapons, at the level of other police in Europe.

They also discussed the status of the Antiterrorist Police Brigade and about it's reform.(End)
