Schetack: We are putting in efforts for refugee return

Brcko, 29 July, 1997 (AIM) - Mr. John Schetack, Assistant to the USA State Secretary for Human Rights, announced that all efforts of International Community (IC) would be directed toward return of refugees to the places where they resided prior to the outbreak of the war in the region of former Yugoslavia.

Mr. Schetack emphasized: " RS authorities convinced us that no one would be charged for crossing the entity borders and that they would intercede for the return of people to their homes", and then added that he greeted the good will of the Muslim authorities in Sarajevo, who recommended their fellow- countrymen returning to Brcko to accept the RS documents.(end)
