Announcement of "Serb Doboj TV Station"

Doboj, July 28,1997 (AIM) - The local radio station in Doboj has been announcing the news which states that the Serb Doboj TV station commenced operating. It further states that the program is being emitted on the 45th channel.

While the Doboj radio was announcing this information, the construction workers were putting together air-conditioners in the premises of the future TV station. Hence, people of Doboj uselessly searched for the new TV signal.

The founder of the local TV station is the Municipal Parliament, while the appointed General Manager is Mr. Milan Simiå, Head of the Municipal Ministry of Defense and former General Manager of the Student Dormitories in Sarajevo. According to the informal information, more than 900 000 DEM was collected and spent in the form of various donations for the construction of the TV station center.

Nevertheless, no alternative electronic media system exists in Doboj.(end)
