Help for malignant tumors patients

Sarajevo, 23 July, 1997 (AIM) - In exactly 210 days, the Nuclear Accelerator for Malignant Tumors Patients (LINK), is to be installed in the Clinic Center of the University of Sarajevo. That is, in short, a content of an agreement signed today between Mr. Faruk Konjhodzic, Director General KCUS and Mr. Husein Hasiba, Director "Butmir" Construction Firm. The building of LINK started before the war, and now it is continued thanks to the donations by Quatar and United Arab Emirates, valued USD 3,2 Mill.

Similar accelerator is in Ljubljana Clinic Center, but this one, in Sarajevo, will be two times stronger. That will upgrade Sarajevo to the strongest medical center for mentioned patients at the territorry of former Yugoslavia. Next project, out of 19 planned, is to be an Operation Unit in Cardiosurgery Department.(End)
