Government of Croatia in visit to the "Herzeg Bosnia" canton

Kupres, 04 July, 1997 (AIM) - High level Croat Government delegation visited today three towns in "Herzeg Bosnia" Canton. The Head of delegation was Mr. Jure Radic, Vice President Croat Government and Minister for Reconstruction and Development RC, was accompanied by Mr. Borislav Skegro, Vice President Government t RC, Mr. Milan Kovac, Minister for Privatization RC, Gen. Cnl. Kresimir Cosic, Deputy Minister Defense RC, Mr. Darinko Bago, Ambassador RC to the B&H, Mr. Damir Zoric, Director of Pension Found RC, Mr. Ivan Valent, Secretary General HDZ RC, Gen. Ljubo Cesic and Mr. Marijan Perkovic, Secretary to the Ministry of Reconstruction and Development.

They have been received by official representatives of the Croat people in B&H: Mr. Bozo Rajic, President HDZ B&H and Gen. Col. Zeljko Glasnovic, Chief HVO Headquarters B&H. In Kupres, Drvar and Glamoc,
they have been guests of Mr. Mirko Bakovic, Canton President, Mr. Filip Andric, Canton Government President, Mr. Marijan Ivkovic, President Provisional Government Kupres and Mr. Ilija Mihaljevic, Municipal Chief Kupres, who informed honorable guests about the situation in those towns.

Mr. Radic informed about RC plan of reconstruction of 1.000 families houses in B&H, and this visit means that those three towns will be included. Municipal Governments should make a list of priorities, and create other conditions for future reconstruction. Republic of Croatia will support them with experts and other staff. "The level of this delegation proves that we are with you. You will have full support of all Croat institutions, because these institutions are in obligation to protect interests of Croat people, where ever they are", said Mr. Radic.

"As for the status of Croat refugees who live now in Drvar and Glamoc municipalities, they should not be afraid for their survival, because nobody has a right to make the concessions only to one people, ignoring others", said Mr. Radic at the meeting in Drvar.(End).
