Meeting of support for the RS President

Organization of Opposition

Banajluka, 04 July, 1997 (AIM) - Representative of the opposition parties decided today to organize a meeting of support for the RS President on Saturday, 05 July, 1997 at 19:00 hours in "Krajina Square" in Banjaluka.

Mr. Nikola Spiric, President Democrat Party for Banjaluka and
Krajina, suggested that opposition parties should form joint Coordinating Board and "start to make a concrete decisions and suggestions, instead verbal support to the President RS". The opposition agreed and established 8 members board: Mr. Vojo Kupresanin, President Serb Homeland Front RS, Mr. Slavko Zupljanin, President Serb Patriot Party RS, Mr. Predrag Lazarevic, President Serb Party of Krajina and Posavina, Mr. Radoslav Brdanin, President People Party RS, Mr. Zivko Radisic, President Socialist Party RS, Mr. Nikola Spiric, President Democrat Party for Banjaluka and Krajina RS, Mr. Milorad Dodik, President Independent Social-Democrats RS and Mr. Slavko Dragicevic, Representative Serb Peasant Party.

Mr. Dodik pointed out the importance of organization of Round Table at SRT , where they would meet representatives SDS and try to solve the problems of recent political situation and freedom of the medias. Other opposition representatives agreed with him.(End)
